Safety on the journey to and from school
The Local Authority has asked schools to remind parents about ensuring their children’s safety when travelling to and from school. Parents and children should take sensible routes and where possible:
- use main roads, well-lit paths near shops and houses
- avoid waste-land and parks e.g. by the River Crane
- walk with a friend or friends
- report anything suspicious
Please find some time to discuss with your child/children the importance of travelling safely to and from school.
